The RIT BAG Large Area Search Bag was created with the help of some of the nation’s top instructors to provide a tested and true method for quickly assessing large areas.
This tough yet simple system is centered around the main rope bag. Constructed of RIT BAG’s unique fire retardant Hi-Vis cotton duck and extremely durable vinyl inner lining the RIT BAG Large Area Search Bag is built to stand up to the rigorous use employed by today’s progressive fire service teams.
Holds up to 200 feet of 9mm search rope. Strong metal attachments anchor the system’s shoulder strap to the bag while an easy to see and use seat buckle allows for fast disconnect. Sturdy D-ring attachments allow contact points for additional side search and retractable drop bags. Outer reflective stripping provides visibility.
Our incredibly strong search line, produced by Sterling Rope, is certified to NFPA 1983, withstands temperatures up to 932 degrees F, and holds over 6,900 lbs. A Twaron aramid fiber sheath with polyester core kernmantle construction produces incredibly high abrasion resistance. Because of its soft flexible design, the rope easily deploys and fits in the same space as most 8mm ropes. Features color tracers to be used for directional bearing in low visibility.
